Stance of Lagutenko and the band Mumiy Troll on the war in Ukraine
The Russian band Mumiy Troll spoke out against the war in Ukraine. On February 24, 2022, the group published a post with the following text:
No to war. I Vote For Peace. We stand for peace. No War
On March 2, 2022, the band announced on social media its decision to halt touring activities:
We have made the decision to halt our concert touring activities. For more than two decades, our work was writing songs that united listeners across Russia, Ukraine, and other countries. The music broke off... Peace is needed immediately... We will have to start again from a blank slate and seek mutual understanding and love through suffering and pain. Perhaps this music will still be needed one day...
