Nayk Borzov on the war in Ukraine

Listening to this artist's tracks on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services indirectly contributes to financing the war — through taxes paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.

In April 2017, he performed in occupied Simferopol and Sevastopol. Consequently, his planned concert in Kyiv on July 2, 2017, was cancelled, and the singer was banned from entering Ukraine.

Also in April 2017, the artist was entered into the Myrotvorets database for deliberate, repeated violations of the state border of Ukraine and touring in Russian-occupied Crimea.

Nayk Borzov’s Position on the War in Ukraine

Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Nayk Borzov did not declare an explicit anti-war stance; instead, he chose the path of deliberate silence and evasion.

On November 2, 2022, in an interview with the news portal "Bolshoy Gorod", Nayk shared how he felt in the wake of February 24:

After February 24, I was in the state of an amoeba for about a couple of weeks. It was hard to believe that this was actually happening. Obviously, I had to snap out of that condition… One evening I was walking, thinking about 'Prophecy', thinking about what to do at all. I didn't want to release the album, didn't want to play concerts. There was absolute apathy, a completely depressed state. But I realized that my mission — well, it's not a mission, I'm not a missionary at all, I just do what I love. So I realized I had to keep going. The album had to come out, it is needed right now, it is timely, it speaks about a great deal, and people are truly shifting their outlook under its impression. And I see that I was not mistaken in releasing it, nor in continuing to live in Russia and give concerts. The concerts confirm that people need this, that not everyone is, excuse me, ******* [morons] and not everyone wants to destroy the planet. Very many people want to live in harmony with themselves, with nature, and with other human beings, and my music contributes to that.

Nayk Borzov remained in Russia, continuing to record albums and stage concerts, including performances in the Russian-occupied territories.

Concert in Simferopol 2026

For August 2026, the artist scheduled a concert in Russian-occupied Simferopol. Such actions constitute a flagrant violation of international law and Ukrainian legislation, and are widely regarded as an effort to legitimize Russia's illegal occupation of Crimea.
