Plan Lomonosova on the war in Ukraine

Listening to this artist's tracks on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services indirectly contributes to financing the war — through taxes paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.

Position of Plan Lomonosova on the war in Ukraine

Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukrainian territory, the band "Plan Lomonosova" adopted a stance of silence, not offering a single public comment regarding the so-called special military operation (SMO). During that period, the musicians had an ongoing tour across Russian cities, which they continued without disruption.

"Plan Lomonosova" was announced as participants in the 2023 "Nashestvie" festival, sponsored by the Russian Ministry of Defense. However, for security reasons, the festival was postponed to 2024. The festival lineup was slated to feature performers who overwhelmingly supported the military invasion of Ukraine: VA-BANK, Animatsiya, Affinazh, Zhuki, Vadim Samoilov, Olga Kormukhina and Alexey Belov, The Hatters, Kalinov Most, Murakami, Pilot, Surganova i Orkestr, 7B, UMA2RMAN, Severny Flot, F.P.G, and others.

In February 2024, the group ended up on the list of musical artists "prohibited from concert activities in Russia," published by Meduza. It included critics of the so-called SMO in Ukraine and those who had not clearly articulated their allegiance. At that point, the musicians of Plan Lomonosova decided to "fall into line."

Ahead of the presidential elections, the band's bassist Andrey Shmorgun published a post endorsing Putin:

In March 2024, the band performed in occupied Sevastopol for Russian military servicemen. In short, the group unequivocally chose their side.

In September 2024, the band was removed from the list of prohibited artists.

The musicians continue to tour actively across cities of the Russian Federation.

Celebrities on the position of Plan Lomonosova

... And there is a huge number of musical bands that outrage the punk scene not by their actions, but, so to speak, by their active silence. For example, participating in festivals and concerts alongside obvious Z-supporters. First and foremost, in the KinchevFest festival. If you are against the war, there is no way you can participate in this. We know Kinchev's ultra-patriotic and even nationalistic position, and the roster of artists there matches that. But, for instance, for some reason this didn't bother the band Plan Lomonosova at all...
