Psychea (Russian: «Психея») is a Russian rock band performing in the alternative metal genre. Founded in 1995 in the city of Kurgan by Dmitry Porubov (also known by the pseudonyms Feo and Rubl).
Listening to this artist's tracks on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services indirectly contributes to financing the war — through taxes paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.
Psychea's Position Prior to February 24, 2022
Prior to the full-scale invasion, band leader Dmitry Porubov (Feo) repeatedly visited occupied Crimea for concerts. In 2017 he performed in Sevastopol, in 2018 in Simferopol, and in 2019 the full lineup of Psychea held a concert there.
In a 2019 interview, the musician asserted that in Russia one can protest "against practically anything," criticized the "intellectual tyranny of lawmakers," and called on Russians and Ukrainians to unite against "behind-the-scenes global influence."
In 2021, in an interview with Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda, Porubov sarcastically commented on his trips to Crimea, referring to the peninsula as "Antarctica" and declaring that he did not care where he played:
We go where we are invited. Russia has no borders. And that's all.
Regarding the Russian opposition, he noted that the methods of the current government resemble "USSR 2.0," though he did not support Alexei Navalny.
Psychea's Position After the Outbreak of the Full-Scale War
Following February 24, 2022, Dmitry Porubov initially responded to the invasion with a sharp anti-war statement. On his Instagram, he published a post captioned "STOP" featuring an image placing Putin and Lukashenko alongside Hitler.
The musician also postponed concerts of his solo project Feodok due to the outbreak of military action.
However, the group's overall stance proved ambiguous. The band did not cancel its scheduled tours and even released a video message confirming that concerts would go ahead.
2022 Interview
In May 2022, Dmitry "Feo" Porubov and Vitaly "Ros" (of the band Kacha) shared their thoughts regarding ongoing events, the war, and the role of musicians during wartime:
- On canceling concerts and artists who fled: Feo criticized musicians who chose to leave the country. He called their decision "populism," noting that only those with a financial cushion could afford not to perform, whereas independent musicians need to earn a living;
- On the meaning of songs during wartime: Feo stated that since February 24, songs that had previously seemed like simple "little tunes" took on real, often prophetic meaning. Themes of death, war, and love began to be experienced through direct lived reality.
Following that interview, the band adopted a stance of complete silence. They ceased all public commentary regarding the war in Ukraine.
2022 Concerts in Crimea
In May 2022, Psychea staged concerts in the occupied Crimean cities of Kerch and Sevastopol, which represents a violation of international law and Ukrainian legislation, and is perceived as legitimizing Russia's occupation of Crimea.
Today, the band continues its concert activities inside Russia and across occupied territories, ignoring questions regarding the ongoing aggression. Such behavior can be regarded as tacit compliance with state policy in order to preserve the ability to continue working in the Russian Federation.

Неее, Психея по факту молчуны, но точно никак и никогда не за войну. Фео на концертах (особенно в песне Sid Spears высмеивает наративы пропаганды и ***иганутых артистов от Шамана до Бабунца и тп ). Плюс с Никоновым проект Штык-Нож как-то вообще не вписывается в понятие Психея «за войну», учитывая что «Последние танки в Париже» тут же на сайте в графе против
Если по этим принципам "Психея" - "за войну". То что у Вас делают в "Молчунах" и Хелависа из "Мельницы", и "Аматори", и "Воскресенье", и "Lumen" etc.
Одна говорит про мало сознательность и имперскость, другие тусят с зетниками, третьи поют песенки о родине и совкодрочат, а фашист - это только Фео
