Scriptonite on the war

At one of his concerts in Almaty five months after the invasion began, the musician opened the show with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the January events in Kazakhstan and in memory of those killed in Ukraine. A video clip capturing this concert moment went viral online, gathering almost one million views within 24 hours:

I would like to start the concert with a minute of silence in memory of those who died during the January events and in memory of the people dying in Ukraine,« the rapper said, after which the arena erupted in applause.

Following the Almaty concert, the musician transferred $20,000 for medical assistance to Masha Efrosinina's charitable foundation.

Vladislav Zaichenko on Scriptonite's stance

In an interview with Esquire Kazakhstan, Gruppa Skryptonite member Vladislav Zaichenko shared:

Gruppa Skryptonite is currently on hiatus due to a series of shifts and challenges that arose after February 24.

On February 24, my mother called me saying, «We are being bombed!» Life split into «before» and «after.» I am Ukrainian. My entire family and friends are in Ukraine. We, as the group bludkidd, had upcoming releases, concerts planned... And there we were, standing with Toshik in the Musica36 office, asking Adil to help us leave Moscow. Not only did he help us, but his stance toward this monstrous war aligned completely with ours. People constantly ask me whether the closure of the label around the time hostilities began was a coincidence. No, it was not a coincidence. Adil saw no possibility of pursuing creative work in a state pursuing such a policy. Musica36 organized the relocation of all label artists and employees to Almaty. The Ukrainians were the first to fly out (myself, Toshik, and Roma Indablack), and everyone else joined a little later.

We remain completely independent in our creative work, but we can rely on Adil and his team for organizational and operational support. Adil regularly sends humanitarian aid to Ukraine. I am grateful for the chance to create in a safe, supportive environment. I am particularly thankful for the support shown to my people. Our Kazakh friends help us morally and psychologically, considering that we are in a new country without our loved ones close by.

Continued engagement with the Russian market

In 2024, Scriptonite performed at the Yandex Park Live festival, which was moved from Russia to Kazakhstan following the onset of the war. However, Russian tech corporations like Yandex remain among the festival's organizers and key partners.

In April 2025, Scriptonite appeared as a guest on the popular comedy show ChBD ("What Happened Next?"), which was previously released on the pro-Kremlin platform VK.

Following the introduction of new Russian regulatory mandates for music streaming platforms, several of Scriptonite's songs began appearing in censored versions. This indicates that his releases continue to be adjusted to satisfy Russian legislative requirements for distribution across local music platforms.
