In May 2023, Soso Pavliashvili for the first time publicly addressed the so-called SMO in Ukraine during a concert in Ryazan, supporting Russia's military aggression and declaring his confidence in its victory:

He has repeatedly performed for Russian soldiers. During a concert for wounded servicemen at a military hospital in Yekaterinburg, Pavliashvili voiced full support for Russian combatants:
