"Zatochka" is a Russian rap-rock band formed in Moscow in 2018. Band members: Ilya Pogrebnyak and Yury Simonov. It is essentially a side project of members of the group Anacondaz.

Listening to this artist's tracks on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services indirectly contributes to financing the war — through taxes paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.
Zatochka Band's Stance on the War in Ukraine
Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the members of the band "Zatochka" made no public anti-war statements, adopting a stance of deliberate silence.
In April 2022, they participated in "Kvartirnik u Margulisa", an acoustic televised show hosted by Yevgeny Margulis, known for his pro-Putin position.
On July 22, 2022, they released the song "Good Morning, Vietnam" about an American soldier who begins to suspect that politicians have deceived him and that he is being sent "to his death by a gentleman in a suit":
We are told they have an evil puppeteer over there
A threat to our freedoms, on every channel today
And we must spill gallons of blood and sweat
To rescue the deep-rooted folk, as if guided by the Lord's right hand
Fans of the band drew a direct parallel with the Russo-Ukrainian war and a strikingly similar predicament faced by the Russian army.
In August 2023, the musicians planned to perform at the "Nashestvie" rock festival, sponsored by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. However, the concert was canceled. Nearly all participants of "Nashestvie" openly support the war in Ukraine.

The band continues to live and work in Russia, actively touring across Russian cities.
Victory Day Post on VKontakte
On May 9, the group published a post on VKontakte, fully aligning with official Russian state propaganda narratives. In the publication, the musicians asserted that, just like 85 years ago, Russia is allegedly once again facing an existential threat of destruction, and today the country is confronted by "Western propaganda" attempting to "fragment it and strip it of its future and values."
Just as decades ago, so too today — we paid and continue to pay an exceptionally high price for Victory, but we understand that losing would mean the total disappearance of our country.

In doing so, the group draws an overt parallel between World War II and Russia's current aggressive war against Ukraine, presenting what is happening as an existential battle for national survival. Such rhetoric mirrors the central talking points of Kremlin propaganda and effectively serves to justify Russian military aggression.
