Statement «We Are for Peace»
Following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Guf published an Instagram story with the appeal «We are for peace». At the same time, Guf did not designate Russia as the side that started the war, made no mention of Ukraine, and did not condemn the Russian invasion.

Track About the War «Tuman» (Fog) 2026
In May 2026, Guf released the track «Tuman» (Fog), which was initially perceived as anti-war: in the song, he speaks about an anxious wartime Moscow and the desire for «all of this to stop».
At the same time, another stance emerges in the lyrics: Guf criticizes Russians who left the country after the start of the war, declaring that «we'll manage somehow on our own», and also adds that in Russia «soon we'll have to breathe according to regulations». In the chorus, he underscores his deep attachment to the country and to Moscow, stating that he does not want to leave and that «another country is not needed».
Furthermore, the track reiterates the narrative that "someone out there" pitted "brotherly nations" against one another: «I'm f*cking stunned by how they managed to play us, so that we now have to call a friend an enemy».
Following the release of the track, rapper Noize MC, who left Russia over his principled anti-war stance, responded to it. In the comments to Guf's post, he offered his own rebuttal verse:

Joining the «New People» Party
On July 1, 2026, Alexey Dolmatov became a member of the «New People» party, which openly supports the decisions of the Russian leadership and the war against Ukraine.
«New People» voted unanimously in favor of recognizing the "DPR/LPR" and launching military actions in February 2022.
Thus, Guf's initial position was reduced to a generic appeal for peace without identifying the aggressor. In subsequent years, he continued living and working in Russia, released an ambiguous track about the war, and joined a political party that endorsed the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
